Background from the Author
In March of 2009, I made a surprising discovery: a forgotten cache of about fifty unpublished poems written during the development of Iron Man Family Outing that I'd chosen not to include in the book.  I've organized the 21 poems I consider to be the best of these "outtakes" into three thematically related groups of seven poems each and posted them here.  Most appear in their original finished form just as I found them in March 2009.  Some of the others required minor edits, and a few that were never really finished in the first place required substantial rewrites and/or the creation and incorporation of newly written material.
